Thomas Paine

             Thomas Paine, the author of "Common Sense" is a man with an opened mind. By opened mind, I mean that back in 1776, no other person would have thought about common sense. His way of expressing his ideas on paper where very stupefying in that the writings where vary understandable, anyone that was able to read a book could understand what he was talking about. He was very clear and his book was short but to the point. Paine never "sugar coded" any of his writings in "Common Sense".
             This historical book enlightened many more people and all types of people. The poor even expressed their own government ideas while talking with their companions, the rich where able to carry out conversations without mentioning money. Many people although enlightened still rebelled or disliked his sayings on how government, for lack of better words, sucked. "Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one." – Thomas Paine, Common Sense, This is a great example of his rebellious ways against the government, and also a great example of his legible writings.              I believe that Thomas Paine was a devout patriot who insisted that the colonies wouldn't progress until they obtained independence from England. So they inquired King George's power over them. He was astute as he recognized that in order to reach the entire colonist his style would have to be simple and concise and as a result, comprehensive. Thomas Paine was an inspiration to many rebellious leaders and I would believe and base this on the concrete fact that he really detested the pitiful views of all government leaders. I would call Thomas Paine a "freedom fighter" and compare him to such people as Hitler, Fidel Castro, Usama Bin Laden, and many more. The reason
