For this unit I am going to be planning and coaching three hockey sessions. One session will be with children under 12, one with the CSLA college group and another one of my choice.
             My first task is to identify the potential hazards associated in hockey. I will be focusing on the 4 following areas:
             When coaching a session for hockey it is important to be aware of environmental factors that could cause harm to coaches and participants. Included in this would be the following:
             § If the weather is hot and the sun is out ensure people are wearing sun cream to avoid sunburn or sunstroke.
             § If the weather is hot and the sun is out ensure people consume lots of water to keep their bodies hydrated.
             § In extreme stormy conditions do not carry out practise because of lightning striking the participants or the pitch.
