Fastpitch softball is a very complex sport, especially the offensive side. Making contact with the ball is one of the hardest things in the sport. The three techniques of hitting a ball in fastpitch softball are swinging away, bunting, and slapping.
One of most common technique used in batting is swinging away. It is best to use this method when a batter is first up to bat.
