Language expands your mind and your world. The philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein once said, "The limits of my language are the limits of my world." Barbara Mellix might think that Wittgenstein said this merely because of his race and whereabouts. Mellix is a black woman who grew up in the south. She believes that she that the world has her bound and there is a limit to how far she can carry her race and expression. Although Wittgenstein was a white male, he would still be limited to whom he could communicate with due to geographical location and heritage. Richard Wright might interpret Wittgenstein's quote to say with out communicating with all types of people in the world, you are limited to how much knowledge of the world you can obtain. Wittgenstein's saying expresses everyone's opinion about the saying itself in eleven words.
Wittgenstein's approach to language was philosophically mathematical. He said the fundamental truths of arithmetic are nothing more than relatively stable ways of playing a particular language-game. Math is a language that all races, nations, and generations can use to communicate. When people use words produced by the body, only a select number of individuals in the world can comprehend and maybe regurgitate the information. When math is used, it becomes more of a concrete stable feeling knowing translation won't have an affect.
Even slight variations of a spoken language can create barriers. Learning every language used in the world would take more time than the human is allowed free use of the mind. Wittgensteins solution to the problem is math. Math has strict laws and rules that guide you in a communication problem.
