Motzart

             18th Century composer Antonio Salieri, quite insane in his old age, thinks he killed Mozart and tries to commit suicide. Once the most famous composer in Europe, his fame was outshined by Mozart. To a priest, he recalls his life.
             Mozart, one of the greatest musician/composer of all time began his life in music at a very early age. Pushed by an overbearing father, he performed before the crowned heads of Europe, the Pope and every dignitary the times offered. Salieri prayed when he was a young boy, to be able to compose music, but his father would not let him peruse his dream. Fate allowed him to be a composer and Salieri believed he owed God his chastity for his gift.
             Salieri watched Mozart's success praying only that he too might share in the tremendous gift manifested by young Mozart. Time and talent have worked in his favor and the once musically envious boy is now known as Composer Salieri for the court of Emperor of Vienna. Rounded by a crowd of snooty musicians, Salieri is confident and his achievements are more than notable. That is, until young master Mozart arrives to play for the Archbishop of Salisburg. The music played is in a word perfection. The notes are perfect, the order is perfect, the very page upon which the music has been inscribed is perfect. However, Mozart is shall we say less than perfect. Still quite young and reveling in youth, his musical genius is make up for only by his appetite for fun and the less than finer things in life. After all, he has been performing since he was a child and is only now beginning to explore the joys of youthful irresponsibility. Composing music is nearly effortless it seems for Mozart, while for Salieri it is extremely laborious and difficult work resulting in at best above average operas. He boasts about writing 40 of them, but Mozart can take a piece which has taken Salieri weeks to perfect and re-write it, turning it into a near masterpiece in just a few minutes. The
