"Is violence out of our hands"
Flack jackets, riot helmets and gas masks everything your child will need to go back to school this year. Is this what the future holds for our children? Democrat Carolyn McCarthy from New York thinks so, unless the government and parents can straighten up and put a stop to this unbearable new trend in society. Her counter point Tanya K. Metaska Executive director, NRA(national rifle association) institute for legislative action; chair, NRA Political Victory Fund says that instead of restricting guns from children, educate children about the laws for guns and children. There are enough guns in our society to equip everybody with one. It is not like you can recall all these guns and as long as people can buy guns they will, legally or illegally. So why not make them childproof store guns in giant aspirin bottles.
Bang, bang I was on my school bus arriving at school when I heard this sound, "big deal" I thought someone threw another firecracker on the bus. Then I see everyone pushing to get back on the bus I was at about row 5 or 6 at this time. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Antione Jackson a local gang member who had been shot by a .22 caliber rifle from a black car passing by, once in the shoulder and once in the leg by the front of the bus. Their must have been about 15 people who jumped back on the bus. Now at about row 10, pushed into a seat with Julia Montez and Carla Juares I finally realized what had happened. As the car drove away Antione jumped out of the bus on his good leg and gave them the finger. Carla and Julia were both crying. I was just stunned sitting there staring the aisle to see where my best friend Scott Nightingale was, what happened next I will never forget as he screamed in my ear "pop, pop" with his stupid high pitched voice scaring the crap out of me.
