I have always believed that marriage and family was an important part of my life. I believe that the reasons why my life took a lot of sudden turns are that I never had my mother and my father around at the same time. I was born on January 30, 1987. When I was born, my mother and I lived with my grandmother. I was told, when my mother got pregnant, that she was just having fun and didn't mean for it to happen. Actually, she was with someone else at the time. I was also told that my dad, Bernard, started using drugs when my mother was three months pregnant. Feeling like I would not have a dad in my life, my mother told her boyfriend at the time, that I was his child. When January 30, 1987 came he signed my birth certificate, and that's how my last name became _____. My mother's last name at the time was ________, and my biological daddy's last name was _______. My mom once told me that her boyfriend at the time walked out of my life when he found out that I wasn't his child. My mom also said that my real daddy barely did things for me because he was so strung out on drugs.
             A couple of years went by and my mother got her first apartment in ________. I was two years old. I still didn't really have a father figure in my life. Time flew by fast and before you know it I had a new daddy and a little brother. My mom's husband was James, and he treated me like the daughter he never had. Not only did he take care of us financially, but he also showed us the value of love, by loving us. He moved me, my mom, and my new little brother out of the projects, and into _______ Apartments. Every time Christmas came we had fun putting up the tree and decorations as a family. I didn't care about having a relationship with my real daddy, because as far as I was concerned James was my daddy.
