Among these is the second amendment which states that "a well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of people to keep and bear arms, should not be infringed." Guns are a part of every citizen's daily life. Their prevalence in movies reflects the reality of a culture that is used to living around weapons. Gun control is a controversial issue, some people believe in it strongly as a right and some don't. The latter believe that this right makes society a more dangerous place. They say that the abolishment of the second amendment will lower crime rates, save lives, and say that the fact that it is in the bill of rights is useless and doesn't mean anything. The truth is that abolishing the second amendment of the constitution won't stop or reduce crime, it does help people protect their lives, and the fact that it is entrenched in the Bill of Rights makes it sacred and can't be changed.
