Ethics: The study of the general nature of morals and of the specific moral choices to be made by a person; moral philosophy. This subject has many avenues of perception by all individuals. Some are based on environmental factors and others on experiences and influences. The following paper is a reflection of Ethical thinking in my life. I will make known what I have learned from this part of the course and compare and analyze how I make my decisions and how they influence my thinking and judgment ethically. Specific situations that I witnessed either directly or indirectly at my present employer will be used to analyze the subject of ethics.
Ethics is understood as what is bad, what we actually think is bad and what we think is not. That goes the same for the good side of things. I believe that we make our judgments based on experiences and situations that we may have encountered through out or existence. These influence our thinking in many different ways that also with respect, laid the foundation for future decisions. Example: A boy is raised in an environment where cursing and bad mouthing are common practice. He sees it every day as if it where common and normal. There's a pretty good chance that he will curse in any situation thinking its ok to do so. But hey also has the choice to evaluate his views based on other peoples thoughts of the habit he possess. Now he makes an ethical decision whether to continue that behavior or not. The point I am trying to make is that despite his up bringing, his individuality breaks the mold and a choice based on morals is made. Many of those morals are instilled in him by various entities. Television, radio, media and all forms of communication have a role in his thinking. We are all capable of making decisions that can harm or help people.
