Sweden

             Sweden is located in northwestern Europe between the country of Norway and the Gulf of Bothnia. It is located at the top of the continent above Denmark and the Baltic Sea. The entire country of Sweden is more than 170,000 sq. miles. Sweden is one of three Scandinavian countries, which include Norway and Denmark.
             Sweden's physical features include mountain ranges in the West and plains in the South and East. Kebnekaise is Sweden's highest mountain. An interesting feature of the country is that there are more than 20,000 islands off Sweden's coast. Sweden also has several large lakes Including Vanern lake, Vattern lake, Malaren lake, and lake Hjalmaren. The country's terrain is flat with lowlands except for the mountains in the North.
             Almost two thirds of Sweden's land is forest and wooded areas, leaving only what's left for agriculture. Sweden is full of poor and rich nutrient soil but less than 10% of the land is devoted to farming.
             Sweden's climate is cooler in the north than in the south and cooler in the winter than the summer. Usual days in Sweden are cool and cloudy with moderate temperature.
             Although Sweden is one of Europe's largest countries it is not one of the most populated. Sweden's is home to more than 8,000,000 people. Of those people, some live in the large cities and some out in the farmland of the country. Those that live in the city regularly see the large churches and castles found throughout the urban areas of Sweden. Sweden's capital, and one of the largest cities, is Stockholm. In the rural country areas most people are part time workers of the farm and part time factory workers. Swedish are generally of Lutheran beliefs, but some follow many other religions.
             The main language of Sweden is Swedish with small amounts of people speaking Finnish. Most Swedish people know at least one foreign language, and most also know at least some English...
