I interviewed two adolescents. The first is John, a 20-year old junior
college taking up a course of computer engineering, and the other is
Rachel, an 18 year-old teen working as a waiter in a coffee shop. In
relevance to knowing what influences made them decide to take the current
vocation they have in life, the following questions were asked to both of

the course of separate interviews I conducted with them.
On John, the 20-year old Computer Engineering Student
John decided to finish his studies because he wants to achieve success out
of his own hard work later in life. Though his family has their own
business in which he can already start working and be the boss, John chose
to enter college and keep his focus on his studies. It was his will to be
in college, to aim for a degree and diploma that every youth is wishing
for. John is fascinated by the state-of-the-art innovations the current
technology brings. He is especially fascinated with how computers play a
major role in the continuous evolution of technology. For him, the
technologically advanced inventions that he sees everyday, which make many
people's life convenient, are the influences and inspirations he has why he
engineering. He soon wants to be a part of those who provide and create
such technologies. John is happy with the way his life is moving. He'
