It was in 1987 when John Zachman decided to put forward his Zachman
Framework for Enterprise Architecture'. In his own words, he said "to keep
the business from disintegrating, the concept of information systems
architecture is becoming less of an option and more of a necessity." Thus,
with this understanding, he decided to move ahead with the idea of creating
the Zachman Framework. Zachman Framework is an association of information
professionals who understand the worth of having a solid Enterprise
Architecture within the company's ranks in the economic scenario of today's
