Television commercials have always been around regardless of the channel or time of day. A majority of commercials are informative, creative and quite interesting. However, there are many others that are outright boring, obnoxious, and a complete waste of time. Rather than convincing you of anything, they simply cause you to zone out completely when they come on. From all of the commercial advertisements on air today, I find the Geico Caveman commercials the most unique and entertaining of all. No matter what channel you watch, what radio station you listen to or what newspaper and magazines you read, chances are there is at least one Geico ad being used. The main message all the Caveman commercials are trying to convey is that switching to Geico can save you money and that it is not complicated to use. In fact, using Geico.com is "so easy a Caveman can do it."
             One of the funniest Geico Caveman commercials that Geico has made is the Geico Caveman bowling commercial. This commercial is about a single caveman who is all alone listening to the song, "Let me be Myself" in the background. All of a sudden, he sees a group of cavemen who invite him over to bowl with them. When the first lonely Caveman hits a strike and the ball picker upper goes down, it reads "Geico, so easy a Caveman can do it". After noticing the message, the Caveman becomes sad because he realizes that they are making fun of his intelligence. The Geico commercials utilize the technique of humor. This particular technique works very well in the commercial advertising business since everyone in the world enjoys comedy and humorous scenes and likes to laugh. The commercial also uses the song technique since a song that deals with the Cavemen plays in the background.
