Moses was a leader in many ways. Moses was a leader starting from when he was a young man in Egypt and continued until he became an adult. From the time pharaohs daughter found him in a wicker basket floating on the river and adopted him. He was destined to be a leader.
It's known that he made many of his decisions based on what was around him. Moses was asked many questions by the people because they considered him their leader, but he always answered their questions in relations to the word of God. For this reason Moses was then considered Gods' chosen one in who people looked up to, but also was the one that the people blamed when things went wrong in the community.
Moses got a lot of his leadership qualities from his father-in-law Jethro (Exodus 18:13-27). These qualities helped Moses become one of the most dynamic leaders in the bible. Moses needed those attributes when he had to lead the Israelites, who were a group of rebellious people that were not content with the status quo and needed a great leader. The desire for justice inspired him to become a powerful leader who started the exodus of the Israelites out of bondage and to the Promise Land. Moses ability to recognize his strengths during the toughest times was what made him a great leader. Moses is a great example that God chooses unexpected leaders to complete his divine plan.
In Exodus 2:16 Moses showed his leadership qualities at a young age when he watered the flock of the priest's daughters. He knew where take them and he showed the daughters what to do. He knew to follow the rules that were given to him by God. Not only that but Moses also showed great leadership when he listened to the Lord's words and made the decision to lead the people out of Egypt.
