When we think about community service we often second guess our self if we really should do it. Community service is more than just hours; community service is based on the acts performed by someone with the purpose of helping or bringing benefits to his or her community. There's opportunities everywhere you go, in the places you least expect, people in need of help to get going with their lives. Even though it's a requirement for graduation the rewards of self accomplishment, compassion and caring creates more than what it actually gives. With community service we have the capacity to fight poverty, diseases, hunger and help the environment, to make the world an exceptional place as well as an improving society for all generations.
             During a year and half period I perform 376 hours at Koko Designs Studios, Peter De la Rosa Surveyor & Mapping, Key Club Service and lastly at Miami Children's Hospital. It's been a very interesting experience, I've acquired a lot of knowledge not in just one area but in many. At the Designs Studios I was able to be part of their crew and pitch in with modern ideas to projects such as websites, banners, logos designs. At the same time I keep everything in place and organize from filing to faxing, to budgets. At Surveyor & Mapping it was still a small business but with a whole different twist, basically what they do is create the blueprints of locations such as Olive Gardens, Wal-Mart, Kmart, Banks ect. My job was to coordinate all the paper work to have evidence in any case there was a misunderstanding between the client and the employer . One of the funnest volunteer services I did was Key Club, I had the opportunity to help my school and others at the same time.
