Pasadena Certified Farmer's Market at Victory Park, the farmer's market is open at every Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Pasadena Farmer's Certified Market at Victory Park is located in North Sierra Madre Blvd, at Paloma Street, it host in the Victory Park's public parking lot. The Pasadena Certified Farmer's Market has three different locations and times to provide their service to communication. The locations are: Tuesdays at Villa Parke Center, located in 363 East Villa Street at Garfield Ave, Wednesdays at Playhouse District, located in El Molino Ave & Union Street; this location is closed for season now, and Saturdays at Victory Park which is the one that our group have choose for the project.
The original Pasadena Certified Farmer's Market was started in 1980, at the Villa Parke Center. The Victory Park Farmer's Market was started in 1984. The Victory Park Farmer's Market has been open every single week since 1984, no matter shine or rain, the Rose Bowl Parade is the only exception week that they will not open on that week. In 1997, the Pasadena Certified Farmer's Market was recognized with the Arthur Nobel Award for making life better in Pasadena. The Pasadena Certified Farm's Markets are sponsored by the Recreation Department and City of Pasadena Human Services, under the regulations and rules of the DFA (Department of Food and Agriculture) of the State of California.
The Pasadena Certified Farmer's Market provides the food that directly from the farmer. They are nutritious fruits, fresh from locally grown, vegetables and farm products. Their certified vendors only sell the products that they grow; they won't sell anything that they didn't grow to customer. The customer will know where the food came from, and who grew it.
