A Letter to London

             Am I expecting too much from you? Was I wrong when I came to you carrying my hopes, beliefs and dreams in my heart? Can't you give me a light?
             Let me tell you how I felt about you when I met you. It was two years ago. I felt so lonely as I was on a boat in the middle of nowhere. You seemed grey, actually colourless.
             You are the city of great contrasts. Unlike your grey sides, you are colourful in some ways. Your green is so bright. I love your splendid parks, abundance of green and open spaces. Sometimes I visit St. James' Park which is surrounded by lovely architecture and it's full of interests- the lake, birds, squirrels and fountains.
             I am not well. I've been in my bed for three days. I don't feel like to get out of my little room which is in Marylebone. Marylebone is a great part of you. Despite its central location, Marylebone escapes from bustling life and it is filled with Victorian pubs, lovely book shops, vintage markets and neat row of houses. Beside the beauty Marylebone offers peace.
             You are awash with people who look worried, hurried and unfriendly. They are busy like bees. I had never seen such a harmony of people until I met you. You are very complicated and you make me feel like a little child who cannot deal with complexities.
             You are always awake, you are always moving. My dear you are the city which never sleeps. I love walking freely under your sky.
             I am amazed at what I have discovered in you. Each part of you offers various things, if we can see, if we can catch your soul, you are incredible. You are a vast ocean. You are so wealthy with your museums, art galleries, and historical buildings.
             Have I told you that grey colour suits you? Cold, sophisticated, cool, mature and elegant.
             I want to know you, feel you! I am going to tell you what I discovered in you. The more I learn about you the more I like you.
