             Define the Etiology of the Diagnosis:
             Epilepsy is a disorder manifested by a variety of symptom complexes. It is characterized by recurrent sudden or periodic attacks of unconsciousness or impaired consciousness that may be followed by contraction or relaxation resulting in alternating tonic and clonic movements of the muscles or abnormal behavior. It is a disorder of the CNS in which the neurons or never cells discharge in an abnormal way which can affect one part of the brain or the entire brain by itself.
             Non-convulsive epilepsy or absence, seizures often are recognized when an intelligent child is referred for medical evaluation because of unexplained failure to achieve in school. The reason for school failure is found to be absence seizures, which cause temporary loss of awareness that result in lack of continuity in the learning environment.
             Describe the Growth and Developmental Tasks Ascribed to this Age Level:
             According to Erickson's theory of development of growth the child at this age will be able to begging concept of past, present and future, based on activity and not hours. Knows the days of the week. Attention spam reaches 30 minutes. Child can count to 10 and know his/her name and address. Child is less egocentric and has beginning awareness of the outside world, also enjoy activities with parent of the same sex. The child vocabulary has increased up to 2000 words. The child cannot accept to lose but he wants to play with rules. Preference of hand is established.
             A.W in an assessment made for me the patient was alert and oriented x2. Patient can listen and understood anything you ask him but he did not speak to us. Also patient was moving all the time and seemed on pain.
