In a time of great turmoil and trouble for China, many different philosophies have been developed with the intent of uniting and allowing rule over China. I have reviewed many of these and developed a strong belief in Daoism. It is the one philosophy that can allow China to become a great united power, stronger than ever before. The premise behind Daoism is the belief that people should be free sprits and just "take it as it comes", and this pays off for everyone. That is what I plan on convincing you of; Daoism is the one philosophy that will have a enormous positive effect on China.
             People don't like having to be told every little thing that they can or can't do. That makes people angry with the ones that are ordering them. But in my philosophy, people do as they please, just getting whatever they want out of life. That may come across as a bad thing, but it really isn't. If people have great freedom they will also have great happiness, especially with the ones that gave them the freedom. In other words everyone will love the Empire.
             You may be asking, "If people can do what they please, then what keeps people from doing bad things?" I have a great answer for that. Daoists believe in non-action. Not as in just sitting around doing nothing, but rather in never having an offensive attitude. In other words, they don't go looking and waiting for things to happen. But if something does happen people will act in response. For example, if somebody brakes into your house, you would call the guards. But you wouldn't go around at night watching to make sure no one tried anything. That is non-action. And that acts as a peacekeeping method as well as a good defense. As a country we wouldn't go around looking for war, but if war ever did come everyone would see that we must act strongly to end it and regain peace.
