Hamlet

There are many deaths in this play but I believe that only a few of them are
"tragic". The death of Hamlet is certainly a tragic one because even though he was indirectly or directly responsible for the death of every other major character, except for his father, all he wanted to do was avenge his father's death by killing the man who killed his father, Claudius, his uncle. The death of Laertes was also tragic because you didn't expect him to die. Even though he was part of the conspiracy to kill Hamlet, he was a good guy and he just wanted revenge for the death of his father and his sister, both caused by Hamlet. And finally, the death of old Hamlet was tragic because if he were still alive, I don't think any of the other deaths would have happened. All these deaths were part of a chain reaction that was caused by Claudius killing Old Hamlet.
