Many people have experienced tragic event in their lives. Some are the victims of violence and others are the people who commit these crimes. Either way, these shootings are very horrifying. You feel your adrenaline running 100 miles an hour. People who can't run will soon find themselves hopping over gates and hitting the ground for cover. It's sad because people die as a result of these shootings. Bullets don't have names, or faces. They fly in all directions killing innocent people.
After a long night at the club I woke up Sunday morning. My girl friend called me up to ask me if I would go with her to the car wash in Newark. I got ready and left my house at about twelve. As I walked to her house, I noticed that the sun was bright and the sky was clear then ever before. "I said to my self" this day is too good to be true," I thought to myself and believed nothing could possibly go wrong.
We got to the car wash and washed her car. The day was going fine. Then Nicole asked me if I wanted to go to North Newark with her. I agreed and went with her. We arrived at her cousin's house and her cousin's friends were all drinking and smoking weed on the sidewalk. We were having lots of fun but, I felt strange to be there. I didn't know anyone except Nicole and her cousin. To top it all off, I was in a strange neighborhood with some gangsters that I didn't know.
After being in North Newark for a while, I noticed a grey van passing down the street repeatedly. I did not think much about it since it was not my neighborhood, and Nicole's friend did not pay much attention to them either. She knew that her cousin was in a gang but, she did not tell me because she knew I wouldn't have gone with her.
