Everyday of school was a terrible day for young Michelle. She walked through the halls being harassed daily. Not a day went by that she did not go home crying, and not sharing what was wrong with any one. She had the most terrible nicknames that the students could make up. Causing her to just want to drop out of school and become a homebody with her puppy.
Even the first day of school was bad for dear Michelle. She walked into her new Art class, and a group of Jocks in the back yelled, "Hey, Look at the new girl!" They would then let out the cruelest laugh, and continued to point and snicker though out the class. Art was Michelle's way of expressing her self and when the teacher gave the students a sheet of paper to draw what ever they wanted. Michelle filled her paper completely, leaving no white on it to be seen. Pretty soon the first nick name was formed, "Teacher Suck-Up." The name spread quickly since it was a small school.
The next period of Band, Yet another thing that Michelle loved. She was always the first chair alto sax player at her old school, and won every UIL event. She sits down in her section and beings tuning her sax along with the others. The others immediately stared and said, "Are you trying to show us up?" Michelle said, "No, this is the way I was taught since Junior High." They quickly began to call her "The Show-off." The band director fell in love with her playing, and gave her solos at all the football games on the fifty-yard line, and many solos at contests. The entire band turned against her. This was evident the day before UIL Marching Contest in Austin, some of the band members went into the instrument room and took her sax and ran it over with their truck. Then they placed it back into the case. Michelle discovered it that night when she got home and took it out to practice. Her mother urgently called the police, but they were no help, stating that there was !
