I have set many personal goals for myself as a new student of University of Phoenix. Before beginning this paper, I spent some time thinking over what is it I value and evaluating the goals I have set reinforce those values. I am excited to begin this journey with a clear picture in my head of what I want my achievements to be.
My goals can be classified as both professional and personal or as long- term and short-term. There is, of course, an overlap and continuity of objectives necessary for my goals to be successful. Each of these goals leads to achieving a sense of success or satisfaction. Due to the completeness in my goal setting process a general satisfaction is reachable even if success is not achievable in each and every area.
My intent is to concentrate on professional goals using short-term goals to support and work toward fulfilling my long-term goals.
Professionally it is my intent to obtain employment with a major corporation as an Information Technology (IT) specialist. Further it is my intention to complete my studies with an eye toward earning a masters degree in Business Information Technology.
A second supporting long term goal will be to complete a Masters of Business of Science in Information Technology through the University of Phoenix upon completion of the Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems degree program. Personally, I believe, completion of the long-term objective will enhance my opportunity to achieve a truly self-actualized life.
