The forth amendment which is stated above is in the Bill of Rights, which was made to satisfy the need for people and the government to understand what the people of the United States rights were. These amendments give us freedom, liberty and happiness for all. The fourth amendment, shown above, gives us the rights not to be searched randomly. People went out of their way to make the Bill of Rights happen, should these laws be waived in certain circumstances? Should tenants in public housing projects, a type of aid that the government provides for people in need of housing that fit a certain requirement, have the right to waive their fourth amendment? If the tenants were to allow this waiver police on any manner, suspension or probable cause, could search every living unit for any illegal activity and take any level of enforcement to eliminate it. Officials where these types of projects are based usually in urban areas, but are not limited, are having to deal with the issues on whether to waive the amendment. The defense is that this waiver of their rights will protect the safety of the community.
