Huey P. Newton and Bobby Seale founded the Black Panther party for self-defense in October 1996, in Oakland, California. By the late 1960's the Black Panther Party had become the most influential revolutionary nationalist organization in the United States (The Black Panther Party Reconsidered. Charles E. Jones, 1998). In many cities across the nation, members of Black Panthers Party organized the Black community for revolutionary change in America. Because of racism in America black people were targets of discrimination in many areas, they had poor housing, poor health care services, inferior education. Party's survival programs aimed to help black people overcome the devastating effects of racism and capitalism and to improve the life chances of African American People. The Party's commitment to armed self-defense and revolutionary politics made it an unavoidable target of government attention.
             Black Panther party raised many issues, which allow many people to follow and support BPP. Some of those issues were that black people tried to make them-selves to be acceptable to white society, prove to white people that black people are also human, prove that black people are be as equal as white people, and they are against racist ideas held by white society. With those issues being raised the Black Panther organization attracted many members, they also had mass support and many followers because of their policy of "serving the people". (The Black Panther Party, Reconsidered, Charles E. Jones, 1998). Also the BPP organized community programs in many different ways ranging from free breakfast for children, free health clinics, free clothing drives, community control of schools, community control of police, campaigns to stop drugs, crime, and police murder and brutality across America.
