Jay Leno

             Throughout his life, Jay Leno had dreamed that one day he would arise to what he has become today, a world-renowned comedian. Leno always enjoyed making people laugh, and loved to be the center of attention. Even though he liked making people laugh, he didn't follow up on his dream until a few years into his college education. He made his dream happen with the help of his college roommate who was supportive and helpful in starting Leno's career. With the help of this friend he pursued what he had always dreamed of, and strived for the best.
             Straight out of high school, Leno enrolled in the Bentley School of Accounting and Finance. He chose this road because it seemed like an easy road with benefits, and found out soon after that it was the road for him. "But they accepted my tuition money and suddenly, I was trapped in a very wrong place" (Leno 60). The moment that he stepped into the halls of that school he realized he was in the wrong place. Failing his math course and a professor throwing him out of a lecture hall helped him in deciding to transfer out.
             Leno attempted to transfer into Emerson College, an esteemed Boston college that specialized in theatrical and communication arts. The only thing that got Leno into Emerson was his pure desire for wanting to go there. After seeing Leno's high school transcripts, the Dean of Admissions rejected him. Leno wanting to go there so badly, would sit outside the Dean's office from eight in the morning until five at night. After three days of this, the Dean gave in and admitted him to Emerson. Leno went on to take television production, where he wanted to learn the basics of broadcasting. Leno chose Emerson because the majority of the exams were oral and he thought that he could talk his way through the exams, but that worked to no avail.
