Tournament of Tonk

Object: To be one of the last 3 players remaining in the tourney
Rules: All rules of tonk will be applied in this tourney. Each player is dealt five cards with one card faced up in the discard pile. A player can either pick up the top card from the pile, pick up a faced down card in the deck, or tonk (everyone shows their hand) when it is his/her turn. If a player picks up he/she can drop cards (minimum of 3) if he/she has a run of the same suit or a 3 of a kind or hit the run or 3 of a kind of another player before he/she discards. Hitting other players means continuing their run or completing their 4 of a kind. When this occurs, the player being hit cannot tonk for the next 3 turns. The player then discards. No hitting or dropping is allowed after a player discards. Players can have 1,2,3,4, or 5 cards in their hand. If a player tonks on his/her turn, the hand is over and the player with the lowest amount of points wins the tonk (not necessarily the tonker). The order of the points is the following: Ace = 1 point, numbers = their numeric value and Jack, Queen and King = 10 points. There is another way to win, by tonk out. A tonk out is when a player drops all his cards, leaving 0 in his/her hand. In order for this to happen, either 5 or 6 cards must be dropped. For example, player one has a 3,4,5 run of diamonds dropped and two jacks in his/her hand. If he/she picks up the jack on his/her next turn, then he/she tonks out (dropping 6 cards). An example of a five-card drop is the following: Player 1 has 3 jacks dropped and a 9 of diamonds and a 9 of clubs in his hand and player 2 has a 6,7"run of clubs dropped as well. If he picks up the 4th jack, he can hit himself and hit the 9 of clubs on player 2, and discard the 9 of diamonds. When the deck is fully gone through, the pile gets reshuffled, with the last card of the deck as the first card of the pile. Cards should always be shuffled 3 times and cut
