My Brother

             I have had many friends throughout my life and many have made very big imprints on it. I have moved two times, and even though I have bee going to the same school for thirteen years, many of my childhood friends have changed either school or personalities. The friends that I have now are some of the most important people in my life, but I have only known most of them for a couple years. My Brother on the other hand has been there for me since I was born.
             As a child, I probably wouldn't have considered him my "friend," even though he would always look out for me and let me tag along if there was no one my age to hang out with. He also would teach me everything thing he could, for instance when we played basketball or any other sport he would give me tips or just help me out with anything I needed. Although we, of course, had our sibling rivalry, we spent much more time hanging out than fighting. As we grew older and moved into high school, we both ran cross-country and both faced some of the same struggles. He eventually became a nationally ranked runner, so he knew a lot about the sport, and once again, he would teach me everything he knew about training and racing. I would in return give him full support, and go to every one of his races, whether I was running in it too or just cheering him on. It was very inspiring when I saw how hard he worked, and the rewards he got from all of it.
             This past summer we worked at the same summer camp, which was about a thirty-minute drive from our house. So between the hour of driving to and from work everyday, and the hour lunch break we had everyday, we had a lot of time to talk. He would tell me about his experiences from running in college and other stories about his college life.
