Health Insurance

Health Insurance That Is the Question
I think the United States should allow everyone in the U.S. to have health insurance. I like the idea of what is going on in Canada and Europe. I think if a poll was taken especially on men and women who are between the ages of 18-25 who are not in school, statistics would probably show that about eighty percent of them do not have insurance. It's amazing that a country that believes so much in its people doesn't do much for the ones who can't seem to make enough money to support their families. Personally, I believe the U.S. could take the four percent of the gross national product that they would be saving and generate better paying jobs, less welfare, and maybe actually give back to the people that help make this country what it is today.
I am in favor the national (government based) health system that is currently in practice in Canada and Europe. The system seems to be doing just fine over there and it seems to be saving them quite a bit of money as well. Funding this insurance plan won't be a hard thing to do In Europe, which is as big as the United States; they don't have to worry about the funding because it only cost them ten percent of the gross national product. The U.S. could possibly increase taxes, cut costs, or simply do a higher federal income tax. I know the United States can always find away to fund anything they want to fund so funding this would not be as hard as I think it would be. I am not a political science major but I know that the United States will always be able to find a way to fund any project they want to try out.
